I will take a picture every day and publish it here but it will not necessarily be published on the day taken.
I reserve the right to crop but will not edit in any other way.
My aim is to pick seven pictures every week (from Monday to Sunday) in seven different categories, selected from the following:
I hope to be able to do a different bird species for every picture. The same species may be used twice to illustrate sexual dimorphism, breeding plumage or juvenile birds.
I like trees.
Signs and notices are everywhere.
More controversial. Not everyone will like these but I do. They may be every day walls, pavements, clouds, tree bark or vegetation – the sort of patterns that could make wallpaper.
Be prepared for a lot of these.
I would like to do this category often but it will be difficult. I am aiming for wild animals but may include pets and others.
I may be optimistic including a separate category for these. They will probably be rarer than Animals.
Much of what makes the plant world so attractive is more than just the flowers.
I don’t want too many landscapes. They are not easy to do well in a small picture and lots of countryside views could all look quite similar.
I will try sometimes to highlight a single building rather than a broad landscape.
A bit of a catch-all when other categories fail. I may need this when weather prevents outside photography.
I need a category that can be used when all others fail. It can include mixed pictures, close-ups and cryptic views.
If a picture can fit into two or more Categories I will decide where to put it! (Pictures shown here are to illustrate the categories and will not be included.)
